Slapy – Štěchovice boat transport by tractor
15. 2. 2023If you want to get to Budejice, or just from Prague to Slapy, you have to be transported by a tractor, which stands under the dam of the Slapy dam at the Štěchovice dam, or just on the other side on the upper water at Slapy by the dam.
It is forbidden to carry persons on a boat when it is being pulled by a tractor and also forbidden to carry them in the cab of the tractor. Having a bike can ease transportation between places. The ferryman’s safety responsibility requires bikes to be transported separately. The transfer takes about 20 minutes.
You can now book on the booking system here, which I’ll be testing for the first time this year, so I’ll post if it works then. Otherwise I’ve always called, and I think this option is also in use.
Recommendations :
- book your transfer in advance
- always call at least one hour before the end, if there are more boats, you will not get on anyway
- I’ll try getting a private transport number, costs around 500 CZK, for transportation between the places.

TRANSPORT LIFT SLAPY
During the period from 1 May to 30 September 2021, the boat ferry will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Vessel transportation follows a fixed schedule. Transportation must be booked at least 24 hours, but no sooner than 7 days, in advance.

Ordering in the booking system is only possible individually for each vessel to be transported. For one registration (user account in the booking system) it is only possible to book transport for one vessel at a time.
Information about available dates and their reservation on the day of transport will be given by the operator of the facility by phone only on the day of transport.
