600km, 150 locks, 30 days – From the Atlantic to the Dead Sea – Sun Sailor
This is Sabrina’s first time on Eos and although she hasn’t been cruising with her for a long time, everything is working.
Only the day at the locks in Beziers does not go smoothly at all. We need more than 5 hours for the locks. For those 5 hours we have to wait about 4 hours. Coordination? Information?
The area around the locks themselves is a large construction site, completely fenced in, with high, locked fences. It takes Sabrina about an hour to get to the ship. She only manages it in the end because the captain of the big Peniche makes it from one side to the other with his ship.
At the end of this day, May 5, we reach the Mediterranean.
The Eos is tied up in a channel about 1.5 kilometres from the sea and we stay there for two days before Sabrina leaves by car back to Germany.
