Veluwemeer or also Veluwe Lake is a border lake in the Netherlands, between Flevoland on the west side and Gelderland on the east side. It is a very narrow lake that runs from the southwest to the northeast. The elevation of this lake is -30 cm and its surface area is 30 km². The lake also has a bridge called Aquaduct Veluwemeer. But it also has islands such as Pierland, De Ral, De Kluut, De Snip, De Kwak
The name of the lake comes from the Veluwe region in Gelderland, whose lake lies on the western border. The lake is not natural and is one of several lakes known as Randmeren, which was created in 1957 when Flevopolder was created. It has an area of over 30 square kilometres and is relatively shallow with an average depth of 1.55 metres. In summer it is popular among tourists for recreation on the water or on the beach.

Lake Veluwemeer has an area of approximately 32.5 km². The water depth is very shallow and in many places an adult can stand in the water. The ‚navigation channel‘ is constantly being deepened for recreational boat traffic and cruise liners offering tours of IJsselmeer and Lake Veluwe. Lake Veluwe is a popular recreational and holiday area.

Lake Veluwe is named after the landscape of Veluwe, a forested area in the province of Gelderland.
Location of Lake Valuwemeer
Lake Veluwe lies between the provinces of Gelderland and Flevoland and is the largest of the Veluwerand seas, part of the former Zuiderzee. It is bordered to the south-west by the Veluwerand seas Wolderwijd, Nuldernauw and Nijkerkernauw. To the north, the Veluwe Sea is connected to the northernmost Veluwe Sea, the Dronter Sea. Lake IJsselmeer can be reached by water from both the northern and southern mouths of the Veluwe Sea.
