on technical inspections of small vessels in localities within the territorial jurisdiction of the Prague branch for the year 2022

Small craft technical inspections in 2022 will be carried out under the following conditions

  • at the headquarters of the State Navigation Administration – Prague Branch, Jankovcova 4, Prague 7, Prague-Holešovice port area on official days, always on Mondays and Wednesdays, by prior appointment, between 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:30, 16:00 or 16:30, depending on the season,
  • at the SPS office in the port of Hluboká nad Vltavou, on the days reserved for inspections at that location and onwards,
    at the locations indicated in the attached schedule.
  • Due to the lowering of the water level in the Orlík reservoir during the month of August 2022, the last technical inspections of vessels on the water in this reservoir will be carried out between 09.08.2022 and 11.08.2022.
  • In connection with the drop in the level in the Orlík reservoir, the possibility of carrying out technical inspections in the upper part of the reservoir may be limited in the month of August 2022.

The applicant shall register for the selected date of the technical inspection for the vessel registered in the register of small vessels at the Prague branch office using the „online ordering for technical inspections“ ordering system on the website of the State Navigation Administration. In the case of a vessel newly entered in the register of small vessels, the applicant shall register for the technical inspection at the Prague branch office by telephone or by e-mail. In order to register a newly registered vessel for a specific date of inspection, it is necessary to provide the type and type of vessel, whether the inspection will be on land or on water (the port of Prague-Holešovice), the name of the owner or operator and the telephone contact of the person who will be present at the technical inspection.

The applicant shall register for the selected date of the technical inspection for a vessel registered in the Register of Small Vessels outside the Prague branch office using the online ordering system „online ordering for technical inspections“ on the website of the State Navigation Administration. In the case of a vessel newly entered in the register of small vessels, the applicant shall register for the technical inspection outside the Prague branch office by telephone or by e-mail. In order to register a newly registered vessel for a specific inspection date, it is necessary to provide the type and type of vessel, the selected location and place, the name of the owner or operator and the telephone contact of the person who will be present at the technical inspection.

Online booking for technical inspections.

  • The system enables ordering of an already registered small vessel for a technical inspection in selected locations within the territorial jurisdiction of the Prague branch of the State Navigation Administration.
  • The ordering system can be accessed via the website of the State Navigation Administration, under the tab „vessel documents“ and the link „online ordering for technical inspections“.

To carry out the actual technical inspection, the applicant must:

  • bring the technical condition of the vessel into compliance with the provisions of the applicable legislation, in particular Decree No. 334/2015 Coll., the text of the Decree and other regulations relevant for inland navigation is available at the link https://plavebniurad.cz/legislativa,
  • to deliver a fully rigged and equipped vessel, including a propulsion unit,
  • submitted to:
    1. a completed application for a vessel document (forms can be downloaded from https://plavebniurad.cz/dok-pl/formulare),
    2. issued ship’s certificate, (for periodic technical inspection),
    3. documents necessary to carry out the initial technical inspection of the vessel before registration of the vessel in the navigation register see https://plavebniurad.cz/dok-pl,
    4. valid certificates for designated technical installations for electrical, gas, pressure and lifting equipment, if such equipment is installed on the vessel. The relevant UTZ certificates are issued by inspectors listed in the list published by the State Navigation Administration, see https://plavebniurad.cz/dok-os/inspektor-utz/seznam-inspektoru-utz..
  • to pay the administrative fee – the amount of the administrative fee is determined by the Tariff of Act No. 634/2004 Coll., on administrative fees, as amended, items No. 38 and No. 39. The administrative fee shall be set as the sum of the items of all the actions to be carried out on the basis of the application (e.g. technical inspection + issue of the certificate + registration of the vessel or technical inspection + renewal of the certificate + approval of the certificate of the designated technical installation).

There is a maximum number of technical inspections per term or day.

In the case of inspections at the Prague branch office, the applicant of the registered vessel chooses the time of the inspection from the offer of the on-line ordering system. In the case of vessels newly registered in the register of small vessels, the time of the inspection will be determined at the time of the order.

In the case of inspections outside the Prague branch office, the approximate time of the inspection will be determined by the technician and communicated to the applicant for technical inspection by SMS message to the specified telephone number.

In the interests of economy and efficiency, technical inspections will be carried out at the designated small craft assembly points listed in the attached list. Outside these locations, inspections will only be carried out

  1. at the Slapy, Orlík and Lipno dams,
  2. service vessels of the integrated rescue system,
  3. on water areas where vessels are permanently operated (floating garages, ski slopes, etc.),
  4. in the case of simultaneous inspections of at least five vessels, provided that this does not interfere with the timetable for technical inspections at the location in question,
  5. in other justified cases, e.g. inspections of vessels which are difficult to transport and vessels under construction.

For the same reasons, the State Shipping Administration reserves the right to cancel the scheduled departure date if less than five vessels are registered.
